At Health Foundation 2000 we understand the advances in Science and Medicine as an essential element from which the whole of society should benefit. For that reason, since the beginning of our journey in 1991 we have worked closely on the improvement and promotion of health. Our work is grounded in the continual effort to re-establish and develop the four pillars that typify our philosophy.

The first of these pillars is the promotion of the leading therapeutic investigation, which impacts greatly on areas concerning health and society, and on fundamental scientific issues with which the Foundation collaborates in order to uphold the accomplishment of theses great advances, which with our patronage we are already achieving.

Our support for the study and development of bioethics and Health Planning represents a noticeable distinguishing character. Bioethics and Health Planning are currently key issues for those professionals working in the area of health. This therefore constitutes another of our four pillars, from which the Health Foundation 2000 positions itself from a practical point of view and from a standpoint for reflection from which the most senior experts in Health Planning can advise and consult the health professional.

The issues of defending health as a genuine right available to everyone and making our knowledge accessible to the public comprise the third and fourth pillars of the Foundation. What purpose does the acquisition of our knowledge serve if that knowledge cannot be offered to the scientific community so that it may enjoy access to such information? Is there currently equal access to Health Services? Our mission helps the answer to these questions become clear as well as suiting the benefit of the community; in short, it sheds more light on a field that experiences constant change such as that of Health provision.
